I grew up in Southwestern Pennsylvania, along the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, where I spent much of my childhood outside - no shoes on, feeling the earth under my feet, eyes and ears open to everything happening around me. I loved standing barefoot in a stream or on the ground, tuning in to my surroundings. I'd stand still and listen - waiting to hear a secret or feel something bigger than myself - letting my imagination run wild.

I've been performing since the age of six, and I always come back to this barefoot, open feeling. Each character and story brings something new to discover - something powerful and exciting. I can never tell if it's a deep part of myself that I don't fully understand or if it's coming from a source much bigger than me.

Either way, I love it.​
